WELCOME
Welcome to the West Kent branch of Women in Business - an energising, friendly, mutually rewarding network exclusively for businesswomen. Open to all businesswomen in West Kent, we offer a wide-ranging calendar of events for local business women; self-employed, thinking of setting up a business, directors, and those working within organisations.
The primary aim of the West Kent branch is to provide a forum and facilities to all businesswomen, encouraging the sharing of information, the exchange of ideas, a culture of self-development within the group, an increased understanding of business issues, new friendships, maybe even new business partnerships and opportunities to practice business skills.
Women in Business, West Kent are holding their next networking evening on Thursday 18th June at Riverhead for more details click here As stated by Dr Chester Karrass 'In business you do not get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate'. Our June speaker, Ms Frederiek Chatfield, will be telling us how to improve our negotiation skills and techniques.Ever thought, it would be nice to bounce ideas with people who understand where you are and what you are doing? Congratulations to Telecom Plus, winner of the Company of the Year award. As reported in FT they have found an original and effective business model. It does not advertise. Rather, new households are recruited to its Utility Warehouse Discount Club by a network of more than 4,000 distributors who are existing users. WiB member Heather O’Brien is one of those distributors.
