The April meeting of Women in Business (WiB) West Kent includes a talk on Using PR to Boost Your Business.
The event is being delivered jointly by Sevenoaks-based Caroline Aitken of Acorn Communications and Gaynor Edwards of Torpedo Juice (PR) in Tunbridge Wells. It is being held at Riverhead Village Hall on Wednesday 18th April at 7:30pm.
Caroline will be starting the session with an overview of how business can use public relations (PR) and how to plan an effective PR campaign. Gaynor will then give away some trade secrets on how to write a perfect press release.
Both women are long-time members of WiB West kent. Caroline is the editor/publisher of Family Interest Magazine and has also launched Acorn Communications - which is aimed at small and start-up businesses and advises on strategic marketing/planning, corporate identity and branding, marketing communications, media planning, PR, publishing, direct marketing and event management.
"Even the smallest of businesses will benefit from good marketing planning." she explains "By defining a clear strategy and planning communications you can really take your business forward."
Gaynor's PR company, Torpedo Juice, has an ethical policy and looks to attract environmentally-aware cleints. Her clients include Celia James Interiors in Tunbridge Wells and Envida, the distributor of organic, probiotic blended fruit and vegetable juices.
